[GOAL]

Continue directly from the guards charging @image1 inside the bungalow courtyard. He is overwhelmed and injured. @image2 runs toward him but is stopped. End with the guards throwing him outside the broken gate while the couple reaches helplessly toward each other.

[THE BEATING]

He tries to rise. Two guards seize his upper arms while another delivers a short blow that leaves him doubled over.

Show injury through a small split lip, a scraped cheek, trembling legs, and painful breathing. Keep the violence non-graphic.

[A FAMILIAR FACE]

Cut toward the bungalow entrance.

@image2 rushes out onto the veranda and sees @image1 being held.

Her expression changes immediately. She runs down the steps toward him, extending one hand.

Two guards leave the man and intercept her halfway across the courtyard. They block her path and hold her back by her upper arms.

She struggles to step around them, keeping her eyes fixed on @image1.

[REACHING FOR HER]

Medium close-up of @image1 as he notices her.

He lifts his head despite the pain. Tears mix with rain on his face. His breath catches, and he begins crying.

He briefly pulls one arm free and stretches his open hand toward her.

Cut to a shared side composition showing the distance between them.

@image2 reaches back, crying and leaning toward him, but the guards keep her in place.

Their hands never meet.

One guard recaptures @image1’s extended arm. His fingers remain open toward her as he is pulled backward.

[OUT THROUGH THE GATE]

The two guards holding @image1 drag him toward the entrance, one on either side.

He struggles weakly to turn back toward @image2. His shoes scrape through the wet courtyard.

Keep the woman visible behind them, restrained near the bungalow steps.

At the open gate, the guards forcefully throw him forward onto the muddy approach road.

He lands on his side, catches himself with his forearms, and slides a short distance through a puddle. He remains conscious.

[FINAL SEPARATION]

Low shot from outside the gate.

@image1 painfully pushes himself onto one elbow. Crying, he reaches through the open gateway toward @image2.

Deep inside the courtyard, she reaches toward him while the other two guards hold her back.

The guards who expelled him stand between them at the entrance.

Hold both characters in the same composition, separated by the guards and the long rain-soaked courtyard.

End on his outstretched hand.
